Are you attempting editing your manuscript?
How are you with words ending – ly?
Cut down on -ly adverbs such as quickly, quietly, slowly, completely, angrily. Are you overusing any -ly words? Are you telling an emotion rather than showing it? Can you replace it with a stronger word? Do you miss the adverb if it’s cut?
This is only one type of word to look out for in your work.
